Late Deliveries

The Save Mart Companies requires all purchased products to be delivered to our distribution centers on time. “On time” is defined as: All products must be delivered on the date promised and at the scheduled time of delivery. Suppliers in need of lumper (unloading) service should secure their needs at time of delivery. Due to the importance of timely deliveries, suppliers with late deliveries may be subject to fines beginning at $300 dollars for each late load.

Deliveries that are late without prior notification may be subject to a $100 penalty and a $300 fine for missing the scheduled delivery appointment. Trucks that are received after their scheduled delivery time may be subject to covering overtime costs for the distribution center labor.

We ask our suppliers to provide notification of changes to a scheduled delivery appointment within 24 hours. All rescheduled deliveries arriving after 48 hours of the original scheduled time may be subject to a $300 penalty.

It is our goal to receive our products as promised on the day committed by the supplier. Prompt delivery ensures positive service levels to our customers, to drive profits and sales for all parties, and to reduce costs associated with lost sales.
